1. My reaction to the end of book 2 was that Bigger got what he deserved in a way because of what he had done to marry and bessie. The police officers should of not treated him in such a bad way because no matter what  he was human and should of been treated like one.
2. "I was too busy thinking about how good i felt when i was with you. i though i was happy, but deep down in me i knew i wasn't. But you got me into this murder and i see it all now. I been a fool, just a blind  dumb black drunk fool. Now i got to run away and i know deep down in your heart you really don't care"(216). For me this is one of the most poignant quote for a women. I think mostly every women has or will experence something like this in their life. Most of the time we get blind by a man who we think love us and wont hurt us in anyway and then something happens that makes us oppen our eyes and realize how things really are. Bessie thought she was in love with Bigger and thought that Bigger felt the same way until he asked her to do this. She did not want to. She realize that Bigger did not really love her, he just did not want to go down alone.
3.I think it was to show how Bigger was feeling. 1st book (fear). Bigger was scared because he had killed Marry a white female and he knew that no black guy had never done something that big. 2nd book (flight). He does not want to go to jail. He is on top of bildings runing away from the police. 3th book (fate). He hopes he doesn't get the death penalty. Or alot of years in jail.

At War: Bigger's Id, Ego, and Superego Compete

"He had his hand on the doorknob, waiting, his muscles taut. He had to be careful with his answers now. And yet he knew he had a certain protection; he knew that a certain element of shame would keep Mrs. Dalton from asking him too much and letting him know that she was worried. He was a boy and she was an old woman. He was the hired and she was the hirer. And there was a certain distance to be kept between them" (p. 121). In this quote Bigger's ego is in control. He is thinking about reality and how is he going to act around people so they wont suspect of him. His id does not exist right now. He showed some of his superego by saying that there was a distance between  him and Mrs. Dalton. In his community he learned that black people and white people were not the same that white people would always be higher than them and that they should not think of white people as equal as them.

"But of the whole business there was one angle that bothered him; he should have gotten more money out of it; he should have planned it. He had acted too hastily and accidentally. Next time things would be much different; he would plan and arrange so that he would have money enough to keep him a long time" (p. 123). In this quote Bigger shows his ego, id and superego. His ego is thinking about what he had done and how he had done it. But his id is also in control because he is thinking about doing something like what he did to Mary but this time he was going to think things alot better. Some how he's superego also comes out. He whatns more money because he has live for so long in poverty that he is tiered of it.

My reaction when Bigger killed Mary.

Bigger did not want to kill Mary he was just scared when Mrs. Dalton came in Mary's room. He was trying to keep Mary from making nois because he did not want to lose his job. I felt shocked when he killed her. When he found out he had killed her he try to make a plan but was scared and did not know what to do. All he tought about was blaming Jan for it. He toke her to the trunk but thought that he would get cought if he kept her there so he decited to burn her but her head was stiking out. He had his knife with him and he cut her head off. After reading this i felt suprised but not really because i kinda saw it coming. All the time he kept saying thet he hater her.
